No Photos Here

It seems no matter where I go on the Internets, I come across Neocons spouting their beliefs. On a professional photography website I frequent, there was a discussion regarding photographers' rights to shoot public buildings/bridges/landmarks (of course, the government claims they are protecting us against "terrorism"). The thing that pisses me off about this "rule" that has been passed in many cities is the sheer stupidity of it. The chances of a terrorist using a professional/semi-pro SLR with an honking huge lens on it to photograph a landmark, etc. is slim to none. Since the said terrorist would, I would assume, not want to be caught would you not think he/she would use a small, unassuming point & shoot digital camera?

One photographer started insulting another photographer (basically calling him a "dirty hippie") for daring to argue for photographers' rights to photograph. I would think that the fact that the person was a photographer would trump the conservative thought process of following fascist orders of the government. Apparently not.
